About Coach

It feels like I need to try harder than other people to be fit. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has this feeling. The older I get the more I realize it's a 3 part combo, CrossFit, nutrition, and rest. I get particularly excited when the WOD includes a barbell! Outside of the gym, I ride my road bike for fitness and endurance. I've completed a couple half Ironman competitions, and biked around most of the Finger Lakes.

Turning Point

Motivation & Passion

After failing to complete a 100 mile bike ride, a co-worker brought me to a trial CrossFit class. That was back in 2010. The group style personal training was a winning combo for me - it's about the only thing that I find works well for me. But, just like anything, you have to keep showing up, and trust the process. And that's where the group mentality comes in! I've lost around 110lb since joining Brickyard a few years ago and here I am now a Level 1 CrossFit Coach. I'm proud to say CrossFit can meet you at any point of your fitness journey, and I'm proof of that. If you want to talk bikes, fitness, or flipping the big tire around lmk!
